Nigerian Afrobeats musician Dapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’Banj, has pleaded with the Federal Government of Nigeria, led by President Bola Tinubu, to wade into the $1 million fraud case between the Okoye brothers, Peter and Jude.
Recall that Peter Okoye (Mr. P) sued Jude Okoye, his elder brother and former manager of the defunct P-Square group, primarily over allegations of financial fraud and the diversion of the former group, P-Square’s royalties and earnings.
Jude Okoye, according to Peter, covertly established a business called “Northside Music Limited,” which is remarkably similar to their original business name, “Northside Entertainment Ltd.”
Additionally, he alleges that Jude and his spouse, without Paul’s or his knowledge or approval, used Northside Music Limited to obtain and manage P-Square’s digital revenues.
As the Okoye brothers’ legal drama continues to unfold, D’banj has voiced his opinion on the matter in an interview with Adesope Live, saying that the brothers have to sheath their swords for peace to reign.

“The saga between Peter and Jude is a very sad one,” D’banj said. “When you want to fight, you only know the beginning… you don’t know the end.”
He claimed that he recently flew with Peter and had a lengthy talk with him during which Peter discussed the ongoing problem. Nevertheless, D’banj stated that there is still potential for reconciliation, particularly if both sides agree to dialogue.
“If it’s even a money issue, this is the best time to talk. You guys own your catalogue, and that’s gold. People have been trying to buy mine for over 10 years, and I haven’t sold. Same thing with P-Square—their catalog is massive.”
In the same way that they have done in the past, he urged national leaders and even the federal government to intervene and settle the rift between Peter and Jude.
