Victony’s latest release, “Skido,” is a huge success for the Afrobeats star and a huge step forward in his career as an artist.
The song has also won over fans not just because of its catchy beat, but also because it features Afrobeats veteran Olamide, whose participation is both very effective and musically savvy.
The coupling is an interesting study in how two different musical styles can come together to make a richer, more dynamic sound.
Olamide’s rough, dominating delivery is the perfect opposite of Victony’s well-known smoother, more melodic singing style.
