Responsibilities:
- Safely transport goods and materials across long distances, potentially as part of a team or convoy.
- Drive various types of trucks, including straight trucks, articulated trucks, and flatbeds.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring its safety and security.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, maintaining its condition.
- Maintain accurate records, including cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Operate GPS and other navigation equipment for efficient route planning.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other drivers.
- Handle essential paperwork, including driver logs and inspection reports.
- May transport and handle dangerous goods (additional training required).
Qualifications:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Valid Class 1 or A driver’s license (AZ required).
- Between 1 and 7 months of experience in long haul trucking (we will train the right candidate!).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organized, reliable, and flexible with a willingness to travel extended periods, including cross-border trips.
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy loads.
